Celebrate the golden age of scientific illustration with the Millot's Pages Transfer from Iron Orchid Designs. Inspired by the breathtaking chromolithographic plates of French naturalist Jules Millot, this extraordinary collection features richly detailed studies of fruits, vegetables, insects, butterflies, fish, birds' eggs, and more — all rendered in the exquisite, jewel-toned style of 19th-century encyclopedic illustration.

Each package includes eight full 12" × 16" sheets of lavishly detailed, mix-and-match elements drawn from the pages of a naturalist's cabinet of curiosities. Compose a single dramatic plate study on a tabletop, scatter butterfly specimens across a cabinet door, or layer fruit and insect motifs for a maximalist collector's aesthetic. With eight sheets spanning the full breadth of the natural world, every project tells a different story.

Sheet Contents

  • Sheet 1 — Fruits: cherries, peaches, pears, grapes, plums, strawberries, chestnuts, and more
  • Sheet 2 — Insects: beetles, grasshoppers, dragonflies, mantises, and exotic specimens
  • Sheet 3 — Vegetables: carrots, turnips, pumpkins, cabbages, leeks, and garden produce
  • Sheet 4 — Birds' Eggs: speckled, spotted, and solid eggs in a naturalist's arrangement
  • Sheet 5 — Butterflies & Moths: swallowtails, luna moths, hawk moths, and tropical species
  • Sheet 6 — Fish: sea bass, sole, ray, salmon, eel, carp, and freshwater species
  • Sheets 7 & 8 — Additional botanical and natural history motifs

How to Apply

  1. Carefully select and cut out your transfer pieces, keeping the protective backing with the transfer
  2. Hover over the surface and position the piece where you want to apply it
  3. Secure corners with tape, then rub firmly from one corner using the provided tool
  4. Peel the sheet up — if any area hasn't transferred, lay the sheet back down and rub again
  5. Smooth down any loose areas with a clean, dry hand
  6. Seal with a surface-appropriate sealer that does not contain strong solvents

Tips for Best Results

  • Keep free of dust and debris before application
  • Do not apply in windy, humid, or extreme temperature conditions
  • Surface should be clean, dry, flat, and fully cured
  • For chalk, mineral, or clay paint surfaces, seal with a water-based polyurethane finish prior to applying for stronger adhesion
  • Not intended for outdoor use or prolonged direct sunlight

Eight sheets. A world of natural wonder. Pure Millot's Pages.
