Celebrate the harvest season in extraordinary sculptural detail with the Hello Pumpkin Decor Mould by Iron Orchid Designs. Five elements — two large pumpkins, two pumpkin leaf elements, and a vine tendril — all sculpted with the full botanical realism of a 19th-century horticultural illustration rendered in deep, three-dimensional relief. The large wide pumpkin is one of the most voluminous single casting elements in the IOD range, its deeply ribbed body, curling vine, lobed leaves, and delicate spiral tendrils all captured in a single extraordinary casting.
Hello Pumpkin is the definitive autumn statement mould. The large wide pumpkin applied to a cabinet door or dresser front is a showstopper — the kind of piece that stops visitors in their tracks and prompts the inevitable question: “Is that carved?” The medium round pumpkin and leaf elements give you the flexibility to compose a full harvest scene at any scale, from a large wardrobe to a small tray. Micro-Rims and Measure Marks are built into the mould for cleaner castings and precise media measurement.
Mould Elements and Media Quantities
- Large Wide Pumpkin — large wide ribbed pumpkin body with tall curling vine stem, lobed leaves, and delicate spiral tendril curls — the largest and most voluminous element in this mould — approx. 129g media
- Medium Round Pumpkin — medium round ribbed pumpkin with upright stem, small leaf, and spiral tendril curl
- Large Lobed Pumpkin Leaf — large deeply lobed pumpkin vine leaf with full vein detail and curling stem
- Small Pumpkin Leaf Cluster — small cluster of pumpkin vine leaves with stem detail
- Small Vine Tendril Curl — delicate spiral vine tendril accent element
Note: refer to the Measure Marks on your mould sheet for exact ml/g quantities per element. The large wide pumpkin requires approximately 129g of media — measure carefully before pressing.

Design Applications
- Apply the large wide pumpkin to fill an entire cabinet door panel for the ultimate autumn statement piece
- Compose a full harvest scene: large pumpkin upper, medium pumpkin lower, leaf elements flanking, tendril curls as accents — a complete botanical panel for a large dresser or sideboard
- Use the medium round pumpkin as a standalone centrepiece on a tray, serving board, or small cabinet door
- Scatter leaf clusters and tendril curls as repeating accents across a set of drawers or a frame
- Combine with the Autumn Cottage mould — Hello Pumpkin’s large-scale botanical realism pairs beautifully with Autumn Cottage’s smaller harvest elements for a full seasonal composition
- Paint in terracotta, burnt orange, sage green, or antique cream and finish with raw umber dry-brush for a classic harvest palette
How to Use
- Press your chosen medium firmly into the mould, working from the center outward to eliminate air pockets in the pumpkin rib and leaf vein detail.
- Smooth the back flat with a palette knife or your finger.
- Allow to set or cure fully according to your medium's instructions.
- Flex the silicone mould gently to release the cast ornament.
- Adhere to your surface using strong craft adhesive or gel medium.
- Once dry, paint, gild, dry-brush, or wax over the ornament to integrate it with your piece.
Tips for Best Results
- Use the Measure Marks on the mould — the large wide pumpkin requires approximately 129g of media; measure carefully to avoid running short mid-press.
- For the large wide pumpkin: press medium in sections across the full width, working the ribs carefully, and smooth joins before the medium sets. Allow to air-dry in the mould for 20–25 minutes before releasing.
- For the vine tendril curls: these are very fine elements — press medium carefully and allow to cure fully before releasing to avoid breakage.
- Lightly mist the mould with water before pressing in air-dry clay to prevent sticking.
- For IOD Decor Mousse: press firmly, scrape the back flat, and allow to air-dry in the mould for the recommended time before releasing.
- Harvest finish: paint in terracotta or burnt orange, allow to dry, then dry-brush with cream or raw sienna over the rib high points for a sun-warmed pumpkin effect.
- Prime cast pieces before painting for best paint adhesion.
