Fill your painted furniture and decor with the joy of a summer meadow with the He Loves Me Decor Mould by Iron Orchid Designs. Eight elements — three large statement flowers, two smaller daisies, and two feather leaf sprigs — all sculpted with the full, rounded depth of genuine carved plasterwork. A large gerbera daisy with long narrow petals, a cosmos with broad rounded petals, a sunflower with a honeycomb-textured seed head, and delicate feather leaves compose a complete meadow bouquet that can be arranged across any painted surface.
The three large flowers are each a distinct botanical species with individually characterised petal and seed head detail — the gerbera's long narrow petals radiating from a fine dotted seed disc, the cosmos's broad overlapping petals with a larger dotted centre, and the sunflower's shorter petals surrounding a deeply textured honeycomb seed head. Applied together across a cabinet door or headboard in graduating sizes, they create a composition that reads like genuine carved stone relief from across the room. The feather leaf sprigs add lightness and movement between the bold flower heads. Dry-brush with silver or gold wax over white paint and every petal edge and seed cell catches the light individually.
Mould Elements
- Large Gerbera Daisy — large flower with long narrow radiating petals and fine dotted seed disc centre — the largest element in the mould
- Large Cosmos — large flower with broad rounded overlapping petals and larger dotted seed disc centre
- Large Sunflower — large flower with shorter petals surrounding a deeply textured honeycomb seed head
- Medium Daisy — medium flower with narrow petals and dotted seed centre
- Small Daisy (Large) — small flower with narrow petals and dotted seed centre
- Small Daisy (Smaller) — smallest daisy accent element
- Large Feather Leaf Sprig — large compound feather leaf with individually detailed leaflets on a central stem
- Small Feather Leaf Sprig — small compound feather leaf, ideal as a filler or accent element
Note: this mould does not include Measure Marks. Refer to your mould sheet for any quantity guides. Approximate media requirements: large flowers 15–25ml each; medium daisy 8–10ml; small daisies 3–5ml each; feather leaves 5–10ml each.
Design Applications
- Compose a full meadow bouquet: large gerbera centre, cosmos and sunflower flanking, medium and small daisies scattered, feather leaves between — a complete botanical panel for a large cabinet door or headboard
- Apply the three large flowers in graduating sizes diagonally across a wardrobe door for a sweeping botanical composition
- Use a single large flower as a statement centrepiece on a large tray, mirror frame, or canvas
- Scatter small daisies and feather leaves as repeating accents across a set of drawers or a frame
- Combine with IOD botanical transfers (Wilde Bloemen, Wander 2) for a layered meadow scene mixing cast relief flowers with flat transfer botanicals
- Dry-brush with silver or gold wax over white paint for a luminous plasterwork finish where every petal edge and seed cell catches the light
How to Use
- Press your chosen medium firmly into the mould, working from the center outward to eliminate air pockets in the petal and seed head detail.
- Smooth the back flat with a palette knife or your finger.
- Allow to set or cure fully according to your medium's instructions.
- Flex the silicone mould gently to release the cast ornament.
- Adhere to your surface using strong craft adhesive or gel medium.
- Once dry, paint, gild, dry-brush, or wax over the ornament to integrate it with your piece.
Tips for Best Results
- For the sunflower seed head: press medium very firmly into the honeycomb cell cavities to capture the full textured detail — this is the most intricate area of the mould.
- For the large gerbera: press medium carefully into each long narrow petal cavity to avoid air pockets at the petal tips.
- Lightly mist the mould with water before pressing in air-dry clay to prevent sticking.
- For IOD Decor Mousse: press firmly, scrape the back flat, and allow to air-dry in the mould for 10–15 minutes before releasing.
- Silver wax dry-brush technique: paint white, allow to dry fully, then lightly drag a brush loaded with silver wax across the surface — the raised petal edges and seed cells catch the colour beautifully, as shown in the product image.
- Prime cast pieces before painting for best paint adhesion.
