Deck your furniture in the warmth of gold and the cool shimmer of silver with the Figgy & Flourish Gilded Foil Transfer by Iron Orchid Designs — the only IOD gilded set to combine both gold and silver foil in a single collection. Eight 8" × 12" sheets split evenly between the two metals, all themed around the richly nostalgic imagery of a Victorian Christmas: figgy pudding labels, pine and holly botanicals, a full gold alphabet, French Rococo holiday cartouches, and the iconic Finest Christmas Confectionary 1884 — Made in London wreath.
The gold sheets bring warmth and festivity — perfect on cream, white, or dark painted surfaces. The silver sheets offer a cooler, more ethereal quality that shimmers beautifully on black, navy, or deep forest green. Use them together for a layered, two-tone gilded effect, or deploy each metal separately for distinct seasonal looks.

How to Apply Gilded Transfers
- Seal painted or porous surfaces with a satin or semi-gloss sealer and allow to dry thoroughly before applying.
- Carefully select and cut out your transfer pieces, keeping the protective backing with the transfer.
- Hovering over the surface, position the transfer piece where you want to apply it.
- Put the transfer in place (optionally secure corners with small piece of low grip tape).
- Using the provided tool, start in one corner and rub with firm, even pressure to adhere the transfer. Continue across the design until fully adhered.
- Remove the sheet and smooth down any loose areas with a clean, dry hand. Burnish firmly to ensure maximum adhesion.
- Seal with two topcoats of a water-based sealer to enhance durability.
Bonus technique: After use, do not discard spent sheets. Apply gold or silver leaf adhesive size to your project surface, allow to become tacky (not wet), then apply the spent sheet and burnish to transfer the negative design.
Tips for Best Results
- Take extra care to keep the transfer with the protective backing until you are ready to apply.
- Keep free of dust or debris, which will interfere with adhesion.
- Surface should be clean, dry, fully cured, and sealed before applying.
- If using chalky or mineral-based paint, seal with a water-based polyurethane finish prior to applying.
- Avoid solvent-based topcoats, which can adversely affect the bond.
- Not intended for outdoor use or constant direct sunlight.
