The ultimate rose and peony mould — the Félicité Decor Mould by Iron Orchid Designs is a pure floral collection of extraordinary depth and beauty. Fourteen elements spanning a vast size range — from a massive full-width floral garland swag and a large peony cluster down to tiny berry clusters and single flower accents — all sculpted with the petal-by-petal, leaf-by-leaf detail of the finest French carved plasterwork. Named for happiness, Félicité brings the joy of a summer garden in full bloom to any painted surface.
The centrepiece is the large full-width floral garland (22ml/33g) — a sweeping horizontal composition of full-blown roses, peonies, tulips, berries, and leaves that spans the width of the mould and reads like genuine carved architectural plasterwork when applied across a cabinet top rail or headboard. Below it, a complete family of roses and peonies in five sizes gives you everything needed to compose a full floral scene at any scale. The casting detail is exceptional — every petal curl, every leaf vein, every berry cluster is individually rendered in deep relief that catches light and shadow like carved stone.

Design Applications
- Apply the full-width garland swag across the top rail of a cabinet, dresser, or headboard for an instant architectural plasterwork effect
- Compose a full floral panel: large peony cluster centre, medium roses flanking, small clusters and buds scattered around — a complete garden scene for a large cabinet door
- Use the large open roses as standalone statement centrepieces on a tray, mirror, or canvas
- Scatter small flower clusters and berry accents across a set of drawers or a frame as repeating botanical accents
- Combine with IOD botanical transfers (Wilde Bloemen, Wander 2) for a layered floral scene mixing cast relief with flat transfer elements
- Paint in blush, cream, or antique white and finish with raw umber dry-brush for a French carved plasterwork finish
How to Use
- Press your chosen medium firmly into the mould, working from the center outward to eliminate air pockets in the petal detail.
- Smooth the back flat with a palette knife or your finger.
- Allow to set or cure fully according to your medium's instructions.
- Flex the silicone mould gently to release the cast ornament.
- Adhere to your surface using strong craft adhesive or gel medium.
- Once dry, paint, gild, dry-brush, or wax over the ornament to integrate it with your piece.
Tips for Best Results
- Use the media quantity guides on the mould to measure your medium before pressing.
- For the full-width garland: press medium in sections across the full width and smooth joins carefully before the medium sets.
- Press medium firmly into all petal curl cavities — the tightly spiralled rose centres require particular attention to capture the full depth.
- Lightly mist the mould with water before pressing in air-dry clay to prevent sticking.
- For IOD Decor Mousse: press firmly, scrape the back flat, and allow to air-dry in the mould for 10-15 minutes before releasing.
- French plasterwork finish: paint in cream or antique white, allow to dry fully, then apply raw umber paint thinned with water into the recesses and wipe back the high petal tips with a damp cloth.
- Prime cast pieces before painting for best paint adhesion.
