Design Applications

• Apply the large Rococo oval cartouche to a cabinet door or botanical display as a statement identification plaque - write the plant name inside with a chalk marker

How to Use

1. Press your chosen medium firmly into the mould, working from the center outward.
2. Smooth the back flat with a palette knife or your finger.
3. Allow to set or cure fully according to your medium's instructions.
4. Flex the silicone mould gently to release the cast label.
5. Adhere to your surface using strong craft adhesive or gel medium.
6. Once dry, paint or wax the label border - leave the blank interior smooth for writing or painting.

Tips for Best Results

• Use the Measure Marks on the mould to measure your medium before pressing.
• For the large Rococo oval: press medium firmly into all acanthus scroll cavities, working from the centre oval outward to the scroll tips.
• Lightly mist the mould with water before pressing in air-dry clay to prevent sticking.
• For IOD Decor Mousse: press firmly, scrape the back flat, and allow to air-dry for 10-15 minutes before releasing.
• Writing surface: paint in antique white, allow to dry fully, then write on the smooth blank interior with a chalk marker or fine paint pen.
• For a permanent label: paint the interior in a contrasting colour, write with a fine brush and acrylic paint, then seal with matte varnish.
• Prime cast pieces before painting for best paint adhesion.
