Transform any painted surface into a blooming cherry orchard with the Blossom Décor Mould by Iron Orchid Designs. Thirteen elements — from a large gnarled cherry blossom tree trunk to individual buds and single blossoms — give you everything needed to compose a full-scale botanical scene across a cabinet, wardrobe, headboard, or wall panel. Every petal, every bark texture, every unfurling bud is sculpted in deep, crisp relief that reads like genuine carved plaster from across the room.

Build a complete cherry blossom tree by combining the central trunk with the large flowering branches, then scatter individual flower clusters and buds around the composition. Or use the smaller elements alone — a single blossom cluster on a drawer front, a budding twig on a tray corner, a flower spray on a frame. The Blossom mould is equally at home in a Japanese-inspired Chinoiserie scheme, a French country palette, or a modern botanical interior. Design Applications

• Build a full cherry blossom tree: combine the trunk, large branches, flower clusters, and scatter buds and individual blossoms around the composition across a large cabinet or wardrobe

• Scatter small budding twigs and single blossoms as repeating accents across a set of drawers or a frame

• Paint in blush pink, white, or soft sage and finish with gold wax for a Japanese-inspired Chinoiserie palette

How to Use

1. Press your chosen medium firmly into the mould, working from the center outward to eliminate air pockets.
2. Smooth the back flat with a palette knife or your finger.
3. Allow to set or cure fully according to your medium’s instructions.
4. Flex the silicone mould gently to release the cast ornament.
5. Adhere to your surface using strong craft adhesive or gel medium.
6. Once dry, paint, gild, dry-brush, or wax over the ornament to integrate it with your piece.

Tips for Best Results

• Use the media quantity guides on the mould to measure your medium before pressing — especially important for the tiny accent elements.
• Lightly mist the mould with water before pressing in air-dry clay to prevent sticking.
• For IOD Décor Mousse: press firmly, scrape the back flat, and allow to air-dry in the mould for 10–15 minutes before releasing.
• For the large trunk element, press medium in sections and smooth joins carefully before the medium sets.
• Dry-brush with a warm taupe or gold wax over white paint to bring out the bark and petal detail beautifully.
• Prime cast pieces before painting for best paint adhesion.
