Design Applications

• Apply the mirrored long-tailed pair sweeping toward each other across a large cabinet door for a Chinoiserie or Rococo composition

How to Use

1. Press your chosen medium firmly into the mould, working from the center outward to eliminate air pockets.
2. Smooth the back flat with a palette knife or your finger.
3. Allow to set or cure fully according to your medium's instructions.
4. Flex the silicone mould gently to release the cast ornament.
5. Adhere to your surface using strong craft adhesive or gel medium.
6. Once dry, paint, gild, dry-brush, or wax over the ornament to integrate it with your piece.

Tips for Best Results

• Press medium firmly into all feather detail cavities to capture the full relief.
• Lightly mist the mould with water before pressing in air-dry clay to prevent sticking.
• For IOD Décor Mousse: press firmly, scrape the back flat, and allow to air-dry in the mould for 10–15 minutes before releasing.
• Dry-brush technique: paint white, allow to dry, then lightly drag a brush loaded with silver or gold wax across the surface — the raised feather tips catch the colour beautifully.
• Prime cast pieces before painting for best paint adhesion.
